Graduate profile

At the end of the training the educator will be able to:

  • Read more and more broadly, more comprehensively and more deeply the life situation in which you carry out your educational practice.
  • To inquire in a systematic and orderly way in the practice itself, to name what is done and to reflect on the assumptions and meanings of the task.
  • Increase practice, expanding and opening horizons of meaning that enrich wanting to do as a responsibility with oneself and with others.
  • Make a fuller, more complete and more meaningful educational practice, in terms of construction and strengthening of subjects who, together with others, seek to transform their personal, family, and social reality by attempting a just world.

Methodological orientation

The pedagogy of the subject considers as a fundamental methodological criterion the experiential cycle supported by three dimensions; feel, think, act. Starting from experience as a source of knowledge, placing the body at the center as a place of learning for personal and collective transformation:

  • The training of educators to promote capacities of a dialogic interculturality, seeks to respond to how to promote, from education, the capacity of a relationship that is proposed symmetrical and of dialogue between social subjects, indigenous people, peasants, boys and girls, youth and adults, socially located in disadvantaged cultural conditions.
  • Education from the impulse of communities of learning, communities of life so that educational processes result in strengthening as subjects: making us subjects among the people participating in education, be they boys / girls, men and women, people of sex-gender diversity, producers, youth, educators and teachers.
  • A pedagogy of the subject that puts the meeting, the ethical event of the educational relationship at the center of the educational. It is based on four main ideas: 1) recognizing that the center of education is making us subjects; 2) education, therefore, is relationality: it is the experience of relationship; 3) education is living life, it is transforming (us into) the lived reality; 4) educate as a gift, as a giving: as an act of love, welcome and hospitality where all of us transform ourselves.
  • For the Chiapas team, it is essential to think about education from a perspective intersectional feminist that takes into account gender, race as the key to deconstruction, age, sexual dissidence, social classes, all the edges as an indissoluble process to transform education.
  • Methodological approach for the teaching-learning process: re-mean practice as a purpose of the training process, recognizing the conditions in which educational practice unfolds and placing it at the center of attention to make it fuller, more powerful.

Curriculum

The curriculum is organized in four modules in which face-to-face educational work sessions alternate with distance periods of self-study and intervention in practice, accompanied by a self-study and practice guide called the Educational Work Unit (UTE) and with the support of a Virtual Classroom.

  • Each module is organized in 5 face-to-face meetings and 4 educational work units.
